  • The work comprises a photography component and a video installation component. The rock with an impression of an steroid is a delusion of scale and temporality; it signifies a densification and intensification of time and of impact. The withered ivy is dead, but still retaining its physical form of being. The juxtaposed withered ivy and the asteroid-like rock both show a coexistence of the existentialist and fatalist characters in their respective body. Filming the objects was a re-evaluating and re-examinining process in a simultaneously constructed new dimension of materiality and temporality. The video installation, functioning partly as a camera obscura (the light dots formed on the wall are repetitions of a single image of the obscured projector bulb), provides a space for the viewer to phenomenologically feel the impact of the questions of time and vitality.
