Needs Must When The Devil Drives

A video on women s trade union history, which reveals, through the memories of three generations of women, their struggles and determination to stand up for both trade union and women s rights. The video uses newly discovered archive material including the first showing a photographic collection of striking women in 1914 that is unique in the labour movement. Specially written music is arranged and sung by the internationally known folk singer Peggy Seeger.
