Kingsgate Mall Happenings

Kingsgate Mall Happenings is a participatory documentary, product of an artist residency Wei undertook at Kingsgate Mall in Vancouver through the Western Front Artist Run Centre. It was a month long residency that had the utopian vision of integrating public art and music in a retail space. Due to "unforseen circumstances", the project was cut short two weeks early, and the resulting film is both a document of the residency and an investigation on where art belongs.
