LEGENDS sx̱wex̱wx̱wiy'am' The Story of Siwash Rock, stars young actor Dakota House. This powerful coming-of-age drama translates an ancient Coast Salish creation myth into contemporary, gritty inner city realities.
Co-produced with National Film Board, LEGENDS screened at the Sundance Film Festival 2000, both in the shorts competition and Native Forum. The film received best short dramatic award at the 24th American Indian Film Festival in San Francisco; best of the festival at the prestigious First Nations Festival, Terres En Vues in Montreal, and was presented the honour of Aboriginal Title of the Year by Canadian Heritage and the Penticton Indian Band. LEGENDS is broadcast nationally on several Canadian networks including CTV.
