Mom On the Skytrain

Mom on the SkyTrain introduces the viewer to SkyTrain passengers and their thoughts. The camera follows the passengers from Broadway to Burrard Station, in Vancouver B.C. The passengers are seeking a refuge, a moment to rest from theirthoughts, an answer, but their mind refuses to release them and forces them to deal with their sensory encounters. The video is broken up by different internal realities, which occasionally meet, separate and collide. The process of production: Mom on the SkyTrain is an experiment trying to reshape the technical borders of documenting and by that hopefully to achieve a stronger impact and life reflection. The passengers were filmed in the SkyTrain and later they were asked to face their images projected on a screen and to vocal their thoughts. The documented thoughts were edited with the images to create a documentary of thoughts passing through and with the SkyTrain.
