Mother and Father

In the spirit of domestic documentaries and reporting on what’s closest to home, the filmmaker sits barely outside of the camera's frame asking his parents questions that invite reflections on love, parenthood, dream and loss. Through editing, the interview subjects appear to engage in conversation over time, despite being filmed separately. Through this suggested transformation, the interview's identity evolves from son, to mother, to father.
