Next Question

Next Question is an experimental portrait of the relationship between a young man describing his life and his desire to leave rural Nova Scotia, and a woman (the videomaker) who is interviewing him. He talks about speed, escape, and crossing borders, but his words are interpreted through her eyes, which often contest what he s describing. Next Question starts out as a documentary, but as the piece proceeds, the young man s story is taken over by the interviewer s questioning.
