Raven

Based on the brothers Grimm story of the same name, RAVEN is the story of a princess who is magically transformed into a bird. A cast of five young girls playfully act out the story against a backdrop of adult world anxieties including social relationships, anthropocentricity, and a confusion between reality and fantasy. This unique and colouful narrative, which in its contemporary video version excludes the sexist and violent aspects of the original tale, fulfills the traditional expectations of a fairytale, while emphasizing current concerns.
